Dormant Accounts
An account becomes inactive when there has been no activity in that account for a period of 6 months. If there is no activity for an additional 6 months the account becomes dormant. This account is not accessible through Online or Telephone Banking until it has been reactivated in one of the following ways:
Personal Accounts:
- Make a deposit, transfer, withdrawal or make a bill payment at Columbia Valley Credit Union at a teller
- Written or verbal request (in person) to activate account, no transaction required
Business Accounts:
- Make a deposit, transfer, withdrawal or make a bill payment at Columbia Valley Credit Union at a teller
- Written or verbal request (in person) to activate account, no transaction required. This applies to 1 signature accounts only
- Written request to activate account, no transaction required. This applies to 2 signature accounts only
A letter will be issued once an account has reached dormant status. If there is no response a dormant fee of $3.00 per month will be applied to the account (starting the following month).
